           Hey guys ! Presenting you all the most famous, easiest and delicious, Coconut chuttney. It is one of the easiest chuttney that you can make in minutes. But it definitely does need a finesse to make it taste yummy and finger licking. The ratio of ingredients plays an important role in making the chuttney taste yummy. There are many different ways you can make this chuttney. And here, I have shown you a recipe which I personally enjoy very much. This recipe goes well with Idly, Dosa, Poori, Chappathi, Pongal, Vada and most of the tiffen items. So, do try this recipe and am sure you will love it. Let's jump into the ingredients and the recipe.

  • COOKING TIME: 5 mins
  • SERVES: 3

INGREDIENTS:

* Coconut- 1 1/2 cup grated

* Pottukadalai (Roasted Gram dhal)-  1/4 cup

* Cashew nut- 3 to 5
(Cashew adds a nice creamy texture to the chuttney, you can even add soaked almonds instead of cahews)

* Green chilli- 1 (can be added more as per your spice level)

* Ginger- 1 inch

* Curry leaves- 2 strands

* Mustard seeds- 1 tspn

* Jeera- 1/2 tspn

* Sugar- 1/2 tspn

* Salt- as needed

* Coconut oil- 2 tbspn

PROCEDURE:

* Add coconut, roasted gram dhal, cashew nut, green chilli, ginger, curry leaves, sugar and salt to the mixer jar and blend them into a fine paste by adding water.

(I totally added 1 1/2 cups of water. If you want your chuttney to be little more watery, you can add another 1/4 cup, but make sure you don't add too much, as it will spoil the flavour of the chuttney)

* Add chuttney to a bowl.

* Take a pan, add coconut oil to it.

* Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.

* Now add the curry leaves and jeera seeds.

* Add the tempering to chuttney and mix it well.

* Now the delicious coconut chuttney is ready. Enjoy it with the choice of your favourite tiffen!!
