CrispyCorn Chat

        Hey guys! Presenting you all a perfect tea time snack made with corn kernels, CrispyCorn Chat. This recipe gives you a hand, when you are bored of making the same normal chats. It's a very easy to make recipe and tastes amazing. I am very sure, this recipe will be loved by everyone, so please do give it a try. Let's jump into the ingredients needed and recipe.

INGREDIENTS:

* Corn kernels- 2 cups
( I used the frozen corn kernels )

* Rice flour- 1/4 cup

* Corn flour- 1/4 cup

* All purpose flour- 1 tbspn

* Pepper- 1 1/2 tspns

* Chat Masala- 1 tspn

* Chilli powder- 1 tspn

* Lemon wedges- as needed

* Onion- few chopped for garnishing

* Salt- as per taste

* Oil- for frying

  • PREPARATION TIME: 10 mins
  • COOKING TIME: 15 mins
  • SERVES: 2

PROCEDURE:

* Boil water in a pan and add the corn kernels and let it cook for 3 to 5 mins.

* Once the corn is cooked, strain water from the corn and transfer it to a bowl.

* Add rice flour, corn flour, all purpose flour, salt as needed, 1 tspn pepper and give it a toss without adding water.

* Heat oil on a medium-high flame in a pan for frying . Make sure to add enough oil, frying in less oil might make the corns soggy. And I do recommend to fry the corn in batches.

* Take some of the corn in a strainer and sieve away the extra flour from the corn.

* Once the oil is hot enough, drop the corn in oil and let it cook until it turns golden brown and crispy.

* Follow the above mentioned 2 steps to fry rest of the corns.

* Once the corn is cooked, transfer it to a bowl.

* Now add 1 tspn chat masala, 1/2 tspn pepper, 1/2 tspn chilli powder, chopped onion and give it a toss without breaking the corn.

* Once it's nicely mixed, serve it with the lemon wedges. CrispyCorn corn chat is now ready. Serve it with hot chai and enjoy!!!
